Sports marketing

For many Canadians, watching and playing sports is an important part of growing up. Our love of sports says a lot about who we are and is a big part of how we socialize in communities across the country. At TELUS, we look for opportunities to positively influence and support the communities where we work, live and play. When it comes to sport, TELUS gives a boost to young athletes who are working to achieve their goals and dreams.

Our support of athletes can be seen across the country in local communities and at the world level. We fund camps and tournaments to world cup events. Often, we cover travel costs, provide equipment and pay athlete performance bonuses.

In 2008, TELUS provided the highest level of support for Hockey Canada, Alpine Canada Alpin, Canadian Snowboard Federation, and the Canadian Soccer Association. TELUS also supported golf through the TELUS World Skins competition and the TELUS Edmonton Open.
